The union started as a joke because I never took her serious when she said that she loves me! The day it happened, I was carrying a log of wood on my head because I have always liked to help my mother with some house chores! After all, I was the only son. The other of my sisters had gotten married and left the house.
Though, I was a graduate, I didn't have a job. Most of what I did was to press my phone and wish that the prices of things in the market would go down. The irony of it was that I didn't even have any business going on for me online. Even the ordinary data that others used to sell and make money, I couldn't lay my hands on It.
The big television set in our sitting room had gotten old and my mother was expecting me to act as a man but I preferred being a boy instead. There was this hospital that I went to look for job at Awka that year as a gardener. The interview was successful but I was not later called back to start work. That was when I knew that my destiny might not probably be in the státě. So, I left.
One of the major problems I have in life is that I don't know when somebody is joking with me or not. There was this girl I met ať Abakpa market in Enugu and she told me that she loves me and would like to buy me a helicopter one day! I understood the Part when she said that she loves me but to understand the part of her having to buy me helicopter was difficult.
I believed everything she said and even composed a song with her name that week. Adaora was a species from Egypt with some little touches of Malaysia and Mississippi. The only thing I could remember about her after that meeting was her eyes! They were so small that I wondered if pieces of coal were burning in there. Later, I found out that she was from Nssukka and I gave God all the glory.
Despite the fact that I am a graduate, some things used to touch me. One day, Adaora told me that her late grandfather broke his leg and I emptied my bank account for her! I did not even remember to ask her when he died because I was engrossed with her beauty.
At a point, she came to my house with her sisters and told me that it was time to start saving for the future and I believed her! That was how she gave me a savings booklet to start contributing money in her name. That year as I went back home after three years, my mother asked me what I came back with after three years and I said, Nothing. She understood and decided to help me. That was how she sold one of our dad's plots of land and gave me the money to use and start a Chemist shop but I was not skilled in that aspect. So, I started a vulcanizer spot instead. That was where Juliana met mě and told mě the samé thing that Adaora told me in Enugu and I believed her.
Because I was a good child, my mother didn't throw me away! When Juliana and I started being too close, I broke my ATM card into two, packed my cheque books and burnt them and then deleted the mobile banking App on my phone to avoid see finish. When Juliana saw that I was not coperating financially, she decided to go to Lagos and seat for her WAEC. That was how she left and I toasted another girl. She left and left with one part of me and two of her other parts.
This one that I toasted is fire because she had ruined my future with several astonishing delicacies that I have even promised to build her a house on Mars.
Chapter One.
That year that I went to Enugu, it wasn't as easy as I portrayed it but I tried!
